The Met, Leeds belongs to the Principal Hayley collection of hotel and conference venues. The porfolio combines the best of city centre and country estates, of which a selection are listed below:
The George Hotel, Edinburgh
The refined George Hotel is set on George Street, one of the Scottish capital’s major shopping and commercial centres. It is also conveniently located close to the city’s main rail links. The George brings together traditional charm and style to offer a luxurious setting. A historic building and long-standing Edinburgh landmark, the hotel first opened at the end of the 19th century. The building continues to change today; there was a recent £20 million refurbishment to ensure the hotel remains up to date and ready to meet the needs of its guests.
The Palace Hotel, Manchester
The Palace Hotel is an iconic Victorian grade II listed building, and one of the most distinctive structures in Manchester thanks to its terracotta frontage and huge clock tower. The Palace Hotel can be found next to Oxford Street Station in the heart of Manchester, and the hotel is within walking distance of all of the city’s prime attractions, most notably the theatre district. The Palace has recently benefited from a contemporary refurbishment that is most attractively evidenced in the hotel’s grand theatre, which has the ability to seat up to 1000 delegates.
Hotel Russell, London
The Hotel Russell is another of Principal Hayley’s terracotta-fronted buildings. The hotel is a large and beautiful Victorian building facing the peaceful greenery of Russell Square, giving the Hotel Russell a great location at the heart of London in the upmarket Bloomsbury district. The hotel is also easy to reach thanks to London’s extensive transport networks, and places guests in an ideal position to reach many of London’s businesses and premier attractions. Guests have a massive selection of 373 rooms and suites to choose from, and the hotel also offers fine dining and intimate meeting facilities.
The St. David’s Hotel & Spa, Cardiff
The strikingly fronted St. David’s Hotel and Spa is Principal Hayley’s flagship hotel, positioned in a prominent location in Cardiff Bay just a mile outside the Welsh capital. The five-star hotel has a contemporary style and design throughout and offers a superior collection of well-equipped rooms and suites, all of which enjoy great views across the bay and the Mermaid Quay complex. The St. David’s Hotel is also home to the Tides Restaurant and Grill, a superb conference centre and the relaxing Marine Spa, which offers a rejuvenating menu of thalassotherapy, ESPA and Oxyjet treatments as well as fitness facilities and a swimming pool.
St John’s Hotel, Solihull
The newly renovated St John’s Hotel is located in the southern Birmingham district of Solihull. It is situated a short distance from the M42 and within driving distance of Birmingham International Airport. The St. John’s provides a stylish and modern venue and guests can expect a fresh and contemporary atmosphere in all communal and conferencing areas following the hotel’s recent refurbishment.
